Still don't have that latest SSU KB4531786 installed but maybe it will be needed for Jan 2020 rollup. When the installed version isn't an LTS version, PowerShell upgrades to the latest stable version. To upgrade from an LTS release to a newer stable version or the next LTS, you need to install the new version with the MSI for that release. Went back to install the Sept rollup but KB4530734 (2019-12 rollup) came up & it did install. It only upgrades to the latest version of LTS, for example, from 7.2.3 to 7.2.11. If the Convenience Rollup Update supposed to take care of updates until April 2016, why did some updates from 2014 & 2015 show up when Windows searched for updates? UpdatePack7R2 23.6. I just didn't want to have a problem doing 2019 updates before the 2016 updates. I did the updates in batches based on the year. But SSU KB3177467 got me most of the way through the updates.
